Current conditions and the 7-day outlook come from Open-Meteo, which blends ECMWF and national weather-service models. Figures are read live each time the board loads; nothing on this page is cached, estimated or simulated.

River levels come from FAO SWALIM's gauge network (frrims.faoswalim.org): the water level read each morning at Belet Weyne, Deefow, Bulo Burti and Jowhar on the Shabelle, and Dollow and Luuq on the Juba, compared against SWALIM's own moderate, high and bank-full levels for each gauge. Hubs without a gauge show the nearest working gauge upstream. These are measurements, not forecasts; the board does not predict future river levels.

Seasonal calendars and planting windows are compiled from FAO GIEWS, FAO SWALIM and FSNAU publications, and describe the typical year for each farming zone.

This board is general information for farmers and partners. Planting and harvesting decisions should also weigh local field conditions and extension advice. Any chemical, pesticide or veterinary guidance requires review by a qualified local agronomist before it is acted on.
